Jimmy Kimmel Learns No Lessons After Colbert Firing, Continues to Wage War Against Trump

Last week, after winning an Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Game Show for Who Wants to be a Millionaire, TDS-riddled Jimmy Kimmel gave a comment on how he enjoys poking fun at President Trump. The 45th and 47th president has been a frequent subject of jokes on Kimmel’s show ever since he was elected to his first term.

“I don’t necessarily feel like I’m defending democracy, but I do feel like I’m giving this guy a little poke and he deserves it and I enjoy it and I love that people enjoy it too,” Kimmel stated when asked a nauseatingly trite question by a reporter about how it feels to be defending democracy on his show.

President Trump has become a staple of Kimmel’s Jimmy Kimmel Live content as it has waned in the ratings. Just last week Kimmel referred to Trump as a “Delicate Chubby little teacup” after claiming without evidence that “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” was cancelled to appease President Trump. This week, just two days after winning the Emmy, Kimmel was once again mocking Trump calling him “a Real A.I. Joe” after Trump shared “Apocalypse Now” inspired imagery promising to release the Department of War to restore order in crime-ridden Chicago.

It isn’t just Kimmel who likes to poke at President Trump and his policies, his guests do as well. When appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week, fictional band Spinal Tap quickly moved from the topic of Dentyne Ice gum to ICE.

“We don’t like ICE to come backstage and take anybody away from us” said Spinal Tap director Rob Reiner, a notorious left-wing lunatic who posts deranged nonsense about President Trump frequently on social media. This reference to Trump’s anti-immigration raids received applause from Kimmel’s audience.

With the regular programming of irreverent jokes about the president, it is surprising that in then past Kimmel interviewed President Trump as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Like many voices in Entertainment on the left, Kimmel once sat and interviewed President Trump amicably but now focuses his ire on him constantly, even though it is played out and causing him to fade into irrelevance.
