A Detroit man has pleaded guilty to concealing cryptocurrency donations he intended to send to ISIS, yet Democrats remain notably quiet.

Jibreel Pratt, 26, admitted in federal court to using Bitcoin and privacy technology to funnel money to what he believed were ISIS members.

His actions went beyond finances—he recorded a video pledging allegiance to ISIS’s leader, shared ideas on terror tactics, and even drafted plans for drone-based explosives and intelligence operations.

Pratt wasn’t just sympathizing with ISIS; rather, he was actively trying to equip them.

According to the plea agreement, Pratt began discussions in February 2023 with a confidential source he believed could connect him with ISIS fighters.

Over several months, he funneled Bitcoin in March and May to support supposed travelers joining ISIS and to fund acts of violence.

To cover his tracks, Pratt used VPNs and encryption to disguise the transactions.

Federal prosecutors said his schemes were deliberate and carefully concealed, showing clear intent to empower a designated terrorist organization.

He now faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, with prosecutors agreeing to recommend nine years behind bars.

U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgon said, “Pratt meticulously plotted to support ISIS and covertly sent them money to further their evil works.”

The FBI echoed that the case underscores the serious threat posed by individuals inside the U.S. who align themselves with terrorist groups.

And yet—despite the gravity of this case—Democrats and their media allies have largely ignored it.

    Why?

Because individuals who hold radical, anti-American worldviews often overlap with some of their activist and donor networks.

The same circles that excuse violent protests, defend Antifa, and undermine law enforcement are the ones Democrats count on for turnout and campaign money.

Highlighting a case like Pratt’s would force Democrats to confront uncomfortable truths: that their base includes people who sympathize with America’s enemies and, in some cases, attempt to join them.

We’ve seen this pattern before. Democrats loudly denounce threats when they can pin them on Republicans, but stay silent when the danger comes from groups they rely on politically.

The fact that people attempting to join ISIS have also donated to Democrat campaigns should alarm the country. Instead, it’s brushed aside because acknowledging it would cut against their narrative.

The Pratt case should serve as a warning. Terrorism is not an overseas issue alone—it can grow from within our cities.

If Democrats truly cared about national security, they would confront extremism no matter where it comes from.

But until they are willing to hold their own supporters accountable, their silence will continue to enable those who wish America harm.
