Barbie has worn a black-and-white one-piece swimsuit, a pink dress, and a silver space suit—and now, thanks to a new collaboration, she can wear the Reebok Angel Reese 1, too.

Mattel unveiled a new doll inspired by professional basketball player Angel Reese, a forward for the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, featuring a Barbie-pink uniform with the player’s number 5, as well as a miniature pair of pink Reebok Angel Reese 1 sneakers.

“Barbie honors role models who inspire girls to imagine what’s possible,” Nathan Baynard, vice president and global head of Barbie, said on the July 24 announcement. “From her on-court achievements and entrepreneurial leadership to her tireless advocacy for girls, Angel Reese is helping children see that confidence, ambition, and resilience can open countless doors.”

The release is a nod to the basketball player’s nickname, Bayou Barbie, bringing to life the moniker she earned as a college basketball player for the Louisiana State University Tigers.

“Having my own Barbie doll is a true dream come true for me. It’s such an incredible honor because it’s about showing girls that there are no limits to what they can achieve. I’ve never let anyone else define what’s possible for me, and every challenge I’ve faced has only made me stronger,” Reese said in the announcement. “I hope this doll reminds girls to be unapologetically themselves, embrace every part of who they are, and go after their dreams with confidence.”

Beyond the court, Reese has become a champion for women’s empowerment through the Angel C. Reese Foundation, which aims to bring equal opportunities to girls and underserved communities in areas like sports, education, and financial literacy.

For those wishing to purchase the signature doll, it is available for $38 through the official Mattel shop, as well as exclusive retailers like Target, Walmart, and Amazon.

This collaboration goes beyond the doll, delivering the ultimate Barbie experience with vibrant Barbie-pink sneakers, a matching jersey, and exclusive co-branded merchandise. The Barbie basketball sneakers will be available starting August 3 through Dick’s Sporting Goods and the official Reebok website. The Barbie merch collection may be purchased on the official Angel Reese website.
