Sánchez’s abject failure is clear for the world to see

EU leaders say Sánchez’s legalization of 1.2 million migrants served as a ‘pull’ for the invasion.

Socialist Spain is in a migration hell of its own making, as the recent crisis in the North African enclave of Ceuta appears to be resolving itself.

Italy, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Austria were calling for Spain’s suspension in Schengen area until Madrid secures its external borders and reverses the policy that prevents the immediate deportation of illegal migrants.

Incredibly enough, increasingly isolated Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez tried to litigate the natural reaction, attacking the ‘selfish’ response of some EU countries.

But he should have refrained since today (1), no less than twenty-two EU leaders took aim at Sánchez’s catastrophic migration policies for undermining the security of the bloc’s borders.

    BREAKING:

The prime ministers of 22 out of 27 EU member states have written a joint letter to the EU, demanding an emergency summit over the invasion of illegal migrants in Ceuta.

They are outraged by the recent ruling of the Spanish Supreme Court:

    Politico reported:

“While almost all those migrants have now returned to Morocco — and none crossed into the EU mainland — the 22 leaders raised ‘serious concern’ over the threat to the EU’s frontier, and zeroed in on Sánchez’s move to grant legal status to up to 1.2 million unauthorized migrants as a “pull factor” that fueled the crisis.

In a letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, and Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, the 22 leaders explicitly called for EU-level cooperation on policies such as Madrid’s migrant regularization scheme.

‘We have a duty to effectively deter and relentlessly combat illegal migration, by coordinating our action, strengthening our external borders and addressing all policies that can serve as pull factors, such as the regularization of [a] very large number of irregular migrants’, the leaders wrote.”

🇲🇦🇪🇸 Spain has completed the installation of a 500-metre floating containment barrier at the Tarajal breakwater in Ceuta.

The pneumatic fence rises 30–70 cm above the water and extends one metre below the surface in an effort to deter migrants.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Spain is alleging that ‘most’ of the migrants have departed Ceuta, while countermeasures have been installed in the form of a floating barrier.

    Reuters reported:

“Spain said migrant crossings into its North African enclave of Ceuta had stopped overnight, as police began installing a 500-metre (1,640-foot) floating barrier on Saturday off its border with Morocco following a mass rush that killed at least 67 people.

According to ‌Spanish authorities, about 50,000 people had crossed into Ceuta by land and sea from Thursday in an unprecedented surge at one of the European Union’s only land borders with Africa. More than 48,000 of them returned to Morocco within 48 hours without major incident, Spain said.”

‘Western intel sources’ suspect MOROCCO of aiding migrant flood into Spain — Telegraph

Claims Moroccan officials ‘frustrated with Sanchez over his pursuit of gas deals with rival Algeria’ https://t.co/CBlBb90DGv pic.twitter.com/GIZ4sp4cr8

Also reported today is the fact that Western intel services are pointing the finger at Morocco for the incident.

    The Telegraph reported:

“Morocco facilitated the sudden influx of 60,000 migrants into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, Western intelligence sources suspect. Sources told The Telegraph that the surge could have served as a punishment amid diplomatic frustrations with Spain.

Moroccan officials are believed to be frustrated with Pedro Sánchez, the socialist prime minister of Spain, over his pursuit of gas deals with rival Algeria.

[…] Sources stressed that it was too early to reach a firm conclusion on what had enabled the influx, but one said it was ‘surprising that 60,000 people can travel unchecked’ through the territory.

Officials said a large amount of social media activity had been detected ahead of the border surge, but it was unclear whether it was organically driven or had been coordinated.”
