DHS Secretary Kristi Noem shared on “Fox & Friends” that specific law enforcement officers have bounties on them put out by cartel members, terrorist organizations, and gangs.

DHS has taken extra measures to protect law enforcement officers who have been targeted by these criminal syndicates.

“Intelligence indicates that these people are organized. They are getting more and more people on their team as far as attacking officers and they are making plans to ambush them and to kill them,” Noem said.

“We have specific officers and agents that have bounties that have been put out on their heads. It’s been $2,000 to kidnap them, $10,000 to kill them. They’ve released their pictures. They’ve sent them between their networks and it’s an extremely dangerous situation and unprecedented,” Noem warned.

“We’ve put protective detail around those individuals, changed some of our operations to keep our officers safe,” Noem continued.

“This isn’t just about you know, protesting free speech, or that they don’t like that people out here are upholding the law of our country. They are actually going out there and saying, kill these people and we will give you this much money to do it,” Noem explained.

Noem also explained that ICE and Border Patrol officers have been facing discrimination for simple things like needing to use restrooms or simply finding a place to eat lunch.

She said that even though they have been mistreated, they actually love their jobs and have been encouraged by average Americans who show appreciation and thank them for what they are doing to keep the country safe.

“They don’t even let our ICE officers and our Border Patrol officers use restrooms in facilities. Those men and women were telling us that they have to figure out even where they can go sit down for five minutes to have lunch or to use a restroom,” Noem said.

“They have made it a very difficult situation, but what I was so encouraged by was these officers love their jobs. They love their jobs. They are so excited that they get to go out there and serve our country,” Noem continued.

“They see normal, everyday people going to work who thank them,” Noem said.
