    Jeremiah Ellison is the son of Minnesota Lawyer Basic Keith Ellison. He earns a six-figure wage as a member of the Minneapolis Metropolis Council.

    The youthful Ellison has now been awarded a fellowship at Harvard College in Massachusetts, a paid place, however he doesn’t need to surrender that candy gig as a metropolis councilor, naturally.

    Though he claims he’s going to journey again to Minneapolis for some conferences, this case is just not sitting nicely with a few of his fellow councilors.

    Keith Ellison’s son to maintain 6-figure Minneapolis councilmember wage throughout fellowship at Harvard

    Minneapolis Metropolis Councilman Jeremiah Ellison says he’ll proceed receiving his six-figure wage regardless of accepting a full-time fellowship at Harvard, he introduced Wednesday.

    Ellison, the son of Minnesota Lawyer Basic Keith Ellison, is now dealing with criticism from his fellow councilmembers, who observe that he won’t be able to attend conferences and absolutely perform his position. Ellison at the moment receives a roughly $110,000 wage for his position on the council, and his fellowship at Harvard is a paid place.

    “I’m extraordinarily disenchanted on this, and I hope that my colleagues don’t enable this to occur — one thing to occur to North Minneapolis that isn’t good for them simply as soon as once more,” council member LaTrisha Vetaw stated throughout a press convention final month.

    “With out Council member Ellison sitting on these committees, we now have zero North Minneapolis illustration on these committees. That’s not acceptable to the one different North facet council member up right here,” she added…

    Council guidelines mandate that members should be bodily current each to attend conferences and vote.
