Soccer fans can get ready for more than just the World Cup kickoff this week.

Chipotle is offering a special deal for the first day of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. On June 11, customers wearing a soccer jersey can buy one entrée and get another free.

Customers in the U.S., Canada and U.K. who are wearing a jersey will be eligible for the offering starting at 3 p.m. local time, which on the U.S. East Coast coincides with the Mexico vs. South Africa game—the first match of the tournament.

The offer has some restrictions, with only five free entrée items allowed per check. The purchased entrée also must be of equal value to the free one, or greater, and must be collected by the customer wearing a jersey. The deal is not available for mobile, online, or delivery orders, and children’s meals do not count as entrée options.

In terms of what jersey to wear, while the original announcement says soccer jersey, one customer asked Chipotle’s X account if an American football jersey counted towards the deal as well.

“i meannn it is called football in places -Scott,” the account replied.

But free food is not all Chipotle is doing in celebration of the international sporting event. The fast food chain is also unveiling a limited-edition soccer jersey inspired by soccer culture, streetwear, and Chipotle itself.

The black jersey has the number 53 at the back, a nod to the restaurant chain’s number of ingredients, and only 53 of the jerseys will be available. In the front, the name Real Chipotle covers the design, a play on how many soccer clubs, like Real Madrid, feature “Real” in their name. (It means “Royal” in Spanish.)

“Every four years, this tournament creates an unmatched sense of excitement, pride and community among fans around the world,” Stephanie Perdue, Senior VP of brand marketing at Chipotle, said in a press statement. “We wanted to celebrate the rituals that make the experience so memorable, from wearing lucky jerseys to gathering for matchday meals with Chipotle.”

While the buy-one, get-one-free deal is available to any customer, snagging a jersey is more exclusive, offered only to Chipotle Rewards Exchange loyalty members in the United States. For loyalty members interested in a jersey, they may redeem 10 points for a chance at one of the 53 shirts.

The lottery is to be open from June 10 through June 24, with winners receiving the jerseys before the World Cup final.
