The Gateway Pundit’s own Cara Castronouva stole the show during today’s bilateral meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, the high-stakes meeting took place in the Cabinet Room of the White House, a departure from the typical Oval Office meetings that the President holds with foreign leaders.
This meeting also came after Trump repeatedly suggested that he would provide Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine for offensive purposes by selling them to NATO.
With these facts in mind, Cara was rightfully curious regarding what Zelenskyy was willing to do in return for such generosity and help end the war.
“Both sides have to make concessions,” Cara began. “Our president has stuck out his neck in many ways to make peace for your war as well.”
“What specific concessions are you willing to make to end this war with Russia? Will you give up joining NATO?” she added.
“Americans have foreign war fatigue. And as our president said – we need our Tomahawks too.”
A stunned Zelenskyy turned to Castronuova and asked, “To me?”

Trump reacted: “That’s some question!”

“That’s some question!” Trump exclaimed.
Zelenskyy finally answered: “First of all, we need to sit and speak.”
“The second point, we need a ceasefire…We want peace. Putin doesn’t want.”
“That’s why we need pressure on him. We will speak about what we need today.”
Notice how he did not answer the gist of Cara’s question and proceeded to utter some old talking points.
This raises questions about whether the Ukrainian President is truly dedicated to a lasting peace between his nation and Russia.
Hundreds of thousands of people on both sides of the conflict have been killed since Russia launched its invasion back in February 2022.
Since then, the United States has drained its weapons stockpile in an effort to prop up the Ukrainian military against a more formidable adversary. This cannot continue in perpetuity.
The good news is that Trump has established himself as the Peace president, ending EIGHT wars worldwide. Two peace deals came in his first term, and six have come so far in his second term. I
If anyone can force Putin and Zelenskyy to forge a ceasefire at least, it’s Trump.
