An Australian politician’s crude comment about President Trump came back to haunt him today after the president fired back with a response that had the entire room in stitches.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, Trump hosted a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the White House this afternoon. This is the first time the Aussie PM has visited since Trump took office in January.

The topics covered during the meeting included trade, rare earth minerals, and Indo-Pacific security.

During the question-and-answer session, Trump delivered one of his most savage putdowns yet.

An Australian reporter asked Trump about a remark the current Australian Ambassador to America, Kevin Rudd, made about him in the past.

Back in 2020, Rudd, who served as Australia’s Prime Minister from 2007 to 2010 and in 2013, wrote on X/Twitter back in 2020 that he believed Trump was the “most destructive” president in US history and “a traitor to the West.”

Trump responded that he knew nothing about Rudd before turning to Albanese to ask whether Rudd had insulted him.

Rudd, who was in the room, tried to laugh it off by saying he had said these nasty things before taking his new job.

Trump’s response was so savage and hilarious that the room exploded in laughter.

    Funniest. President. EVER.

REPORTER: The Australian ambassador said something bad about you.

TRUMP: Where is he? You said something bad?

AMBASSADOR: Before I took this position…

TRUMP: I don’t like YOU either. I probably NEVER WILL!

REPORTER: The Australian ambassador said something bad about you in the past.

TRUMP: I don’t know anything about him. If he said something bad, maybe he’d like to apologize.

(turns his head to Albanese) Did an ambassador say something bad about me?

Don’t tell me! (crowd laughs) Where is he? Is he still working for you?

(Turns to Rudd) You said (something) bad?

RUDD: Before I took this position, Mr. President.

TRUMP: I don’t like you either, and I probably never will!

    (Room explodes in laughter)

This had to be the most embarrassing moment of Rudd’s career, and it was well-deserved.
