It’s hard to find a Democrat these days who does not want to destroy everything good.

Eric Swalwell, the highly unethical Democrat Congressman from California, took to X to rage against President Trump’s amazing ballroom project in the East Wing of the White House.

Swalwell insisted that whoever the next nominee for the Democrat Party is must commit to destroying the ballroom on their first day in office.

Don’t even think of seeking the Democratic nomination for president unless you pledge to take a wrecking ball to the Trump Ballroom on DAY ONE.

    — Rep. Eric Swalwell (@RepSwalwell) October 26, 2025

    Fox News Reported:

Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., said the next Democratic presidential nominee must vow to demolish President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom, proposing the pledge a litmus test for the party’s 2028 contenders.

“Don’t even think of seeking the Democratic nomination for president unless you pledge to take a wrecking ball to the Trump Ballroom on DAY ONE,” Swalwell wrote on X on Saturday.

Swalwell’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital for additional comment.

“For the first time in its history, the White House will have a formal ballroom, a new addition built where the East Wing once stood, a project that has become a political flashpoint as photos of the demolition fuel debate over President Trump’s mark on the historic residence.” Fox News Reported.

The plans were announced in late July by the White House.

“The White House is one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in the world, yet the White House is currently unable to host major functions honoring world leaders and other countries without having to install a large and unsightly tent approximately 100 yards away from the main building entrance,” the White House said over the summer.

The magnificent ballroom, with its classical design, will hold about 650 people and match the original look of the White House.

“The White House State Ballroom will be a much-needed and exquisite addition of approximately 90,000 total square feet of ornately designed and carefully crafted space, with a seated capacity of 650 people — a significant increase from the 200-person seated capacity in the East Room of the White House,” the Trump White House said.

TGP reported earlier this week, showing Stephen Miller defending the President’s decision to move forward with the project and blasting Democrats for their hypocrisy, including their destruction of monuments and statues.

“The tragedy is a political party and a movement that has ripped down our statues, our monuments, our holidays, our heroes, our heritage!” Miller said. “The Republican party under Trump celebrates beauty again and beautification again.”

“Now [Trump] is repairing, finally, an area of the White House that has been left in disrepair for Decades. The East Wing, which importantly is not part of the White House, it is not part of the residence, it was a cheaply built add-on structure in the mid-20th century.”
