Nuclear capable missiles that put Moscow in range will escalate tensions between US and Russia.

In the Ukraine war, Moscow continues to gain terrain and to decimate Kiev’s defense and energy capabilities, with Vladimir Putin yesterday stating that Russian forces have conquered over 3,000 square miles so far in 2025.

In the meantime, the great cause of concern is the apparent decision by US President Donald J. Trump to supply long-range cruise missiles Tomahawk to Ukraine.

In the almost 4 years of war, many ‘Wunderwaffes’ (wonder weapons) were floated, a weapons system that would be a ‘game-changer’ for the Kiev regime.

But whether it was Javelins, Leopard tanks, Storm Shadows and F-16s, no weapon has changed the fact that Russia is winning the war, and Ukraine is crumbling militarily, economically and demographically.

    President #Putin at @ValdaiClubEng:

US Tomahawk missiles are not the most modern weapons, but they are dangerous.

Still, they won’t shift balance of power on the battlefield.

But the tomahawks have a longer range and they can potentially carry nuclear warheads, so there’s a recipe for disaster right there.

A Ukrainian insider has come forward saying that deliveries of the missiles could take months and they might never leave their launchers.

The Tomahawk’s 1,600-mile range puts the Russian capital Moscow in reach.

Putin has warned Trump that this move could destroy the healing relationship with Washington.

Yehor Cherniev, of the Ukrainian parliament’s National Security, Defense and Intelligence Committee, told The Telegraph:

“He envisages a series of possibilities or stages, from Mr. Trump changing his mind and not supplying them at all, or Mr. Trump allowing their export but not permitting their use, to allowing an escalating scale of ranges and targets.

‘At each of these stages, Putin is given the opportunity to retreat and go to negotiations. And therefore, the supply and use of missiles will most likely be very gradual’, he wrote.

‘First they will give us rockets, but a few pieces, or a couple of dozen, but they will not allow us to shoot them at once and we will see the Kremlin’s reaction’.”

Cherniev imagines pressure to a delusional level.

“’And finally, only after some time all restrictions will be lifted, except perhaps strikes on the Kremlin and directly on Putin’, he writes.

‘This whole epic could take at least a few months. But it’s already real pressure and a real argument’.”

Former U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor cautioned that should Ukraine deploy U.S.-provided Tomahawk missiles, it might draw the United States into a direct conflict with Russia “within hours.”
