Flags of the United States and Iran clash against a dramatic stormy backdrop, symbolizing geopolitical tensions and conflicts.

Several US service members were injured this week in Iranian attacks on two Jordanian bases, CBS News reported.

    No American fatalities were reported.

The nature of the injuries is unclear.

    CBS News reported:

Iran attacked at least two Jordanian bases this week, resulting in several American service members being injured in the attack after their facility was struck, multiple U.S. officials told CBS News, speaking under condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

No fatalities have been reported among the Americans or the Jordanians at this time. The severity of those injured is not clear.

U.S. warplanes often use Jordanian military installations.

US strikes have continued against Iranian missile and drone sites in and around the Strait of Hormuz for several consecutive days.

On Thursday, the US launched its sixth night in a row of strikes against Iran as Tehran struck Jordan and Kuwait.

The strikes continued Friday, according to a statement from CENTCOM.

CENTCOM launched a round of strikes against Iran at 3 p.m. ET today for the seventh consecutive night. The strikes are designed to continue degrading Iranian military capabilities at the Commander in Chief's direction.
