Senator Eric Schmitt was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo to discuss the weak and outrageous sentence on Justice Kavanaugh’s attempted assassin.

An eight-year sentence was handed down by a federal judge appointed by Joe Biden last week.

“A Federal judge in Maryland on Friday sentenced Nicolas Roske, who now goes by the first name of ‘Sophie,’ to eight years in prison for attempting to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh,” Bartiromo said.

“Attorney General Pam Bondi says they will appeal the sentence, calling it woefully insufficient,” Bartiromo said.

“The sentence was handed down by Judge Debra Boardman, who was appointed to the bench by former President Biden in 2021,” Bartiromo continued.

“Senator, good to have you. Thanks very much for being here. You’re reaction?” Bartiromo asked.

“I’m glad Attorney General Bondi is you know, moving forward with an appeal here. This is outrageous. I think at a time where we talk about the political violence that has taken hold of the left, when 25 percent of self-described very liberal individuals are willing to tell a pollster they think political violence is justified,” Senator Schmitt said.

Senator Schmitt explained that it was wrong for an individual to receive a light sentence for a crime as serious as targeting a Supreme Court Justice for an attempted assassination.

“The idea that you had someone deranged like this, trying to take out and murder a Supreme Court Justice, and this is all that individual gets is ridiculous,” Schmitt continued.

“These weird musings about this individual being, you know, transgender, and that you know, coming into play somehow in the sentencing, is wrong,” Senator Schmitt explained of the leniency.

Senator Schmitt explained to Bartiromo about “Arctic Frost” and described the corruption of the Democrats, unconstitutionally targeting President Trump and individuals.

“I want to move on to the FBI’s ‘Arctic Frost’ campaign. Tell us what it is and what they did because the political dirty tricks that have been going on for a decade plus are beyond unbelievable,” Bartiromo commented.

“They are all being exposed now, and I think one of the reasons why the Democrats tried so ruthlessly to keep President Trump out of office is they were worried about these sorts of things ever coming to light,” Senator Schmitt said.

“So, what is ‘Arctic Frost?’ It was a coordinated campaign by the FBI to go after, after January 6th, anybody, any Republicans. They had wide-ranging subpoena power that was likely unconstitutional,” Senator Schmitt continued.
