Family members of Jewish hostages in Gaza thank President Trump for his work in bringing their loved ones home after two years of captivity.

The Israel Defense Forces have officially launched Operation “Returning Home,” a decisive military campaign aimed at rescuing Israeli hostages still held by Hamas.

After more than two years of relentless pressure on the terrorist organization, military officials say the operation is poised to bring about the long-awaited return of Israeli civilians who have endured captivity since the outbreak of hostilities.

In a statement issued this evening, the IDF announced that the operation had entered its final phase.

BREAKING: Sources inside the IDF tell me that hostages are expected to be released in the next 5 hrs, between 7 PM and 12 AM Israeli time.

Families of hostages were told to prepare for reunification in the coming hours, with officials promising that “in a few hours we will all be reunited—one people, embraced and united.”

The announcement immediately sparked scenes of relief across Israel, where families and communities have been waiting anxiously for this moment.

Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, emphasized both the military and diplomatic dimensions that paved the way for this breakthrough.

“The military pressure we applied over the past two years, together with the complementary diplomatic measures, constitute a victory over Hamas,” Zamir declared.

“We will continue to act in order to shape a security reality that ensures the Gaza Strip no longer poses a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians.”

His words reflect not only the success of military operations but also the broader vision of a secure and stable future for Israel.

The operation represents the culmination of extensive IDF campaigns combining targeted strikes, intelligence-driven raids, and continuous disruption of Hamas’ military infrastructure.

WATCH: Hamas and Israel AGREE to Ceasefire

Israeli forces systematically dismantled command centers, destroyed tunnels, and restricted the group’s ability to operate freely inside Gaza.

These military actions were coupled with international diplomacy that limited Hamas’ external support and funding. Israeli officials credit this dual strategy with creating the leverage necessary to secure the release of hostages.

For months, negotiations involving regional allies worked in parallel with Israel’s military posture, ultimately cornering Hamas into a weakened state.

Officials describe Operation “Returning Home” as the moment when years of sacrifice and determination reach their fulfillment.

The balance of pressure, both military and diplomatic, appears to have broken Hamas’ ability to dictate terms.

The announcement has ignited a sense of national unity. Vigils have transformed into gatherings of anticipation and hope.

For many, Operation “Returning Home” is more than a military maneuver—it is a national moment of healing.

The return of hostages is expected to reaffirm public confidence in the IDF and highlight Israel’s determination to protect its citizens.

As families prepare for long-awaited embraces, the IDF remains on high alert to ensure the operation’s success and prevent any last-minute escalation.

Israel’s message, however, is already clear: Hamas has been defeated, hostages are coming home, and the nation stands united.
