President Trump on Thursday responded to reports of James Comey’s imminent indictment during an Oval Office meeting with Turkish President Erdogan.

According to MSNBC, former FBI Director James Comey is expected to be indicted in the Eastern District of Virginia in the next few days.

Comey will reportedly be charged for lying to Congress in a 2020 testimony about whether he authorized leaks to the media.

President Trump last week fired Erik Siebert as the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia because he refused to bring charges against Letitia James, Comey, Schiff and others.

On Saturday evening, President Trump announced that he had appointed Lindsey Halligan as US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Lindsey Halligan, who served as one of President Trump’s personal lawyers during the unconstitutional raid on his Mar-a-Lago residence, was sworn in on Monday.

The five-year statute of limitations runs out in a few days so the US Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia has to act quickly.

President Trump responded to a reporter who asked if he knows about Comey’s incoming indictment.

“I’m not making that determination. I think I’d be allowed to get involved if I want, but I don’t really choose to do so,” Trump said.

“I can only say that Comey’s a bad person, he’s a sick person. I think he’s a sick guy actually, he did terrible things at the FBI. But I don’t know, I have no idea what’s going to happen.”
