President Trump on Sunday told reporters on Air Force One that he had planned “the biggest attack since World War II” against Iran this week.

Without using the N-word, Trump suggested that nuclear bombs were imminent.

“We had an attack that would be the biggest attack since World War II, and it would have been disastrous for them,” Trump said, appearing to reference Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the two Japanese cities, where the US dropped atomic bombs in 1945.

However, it is just as likely that Trump was suggesting a non-nuclear attack larger than any other since World War II.

“We were asked by the three primary groups, we were also asked by Iran very strongly, actually. They said we’d like to make a deal,” Trump said.

“Obviously, they don’t want to be attacked, and they knew the extent of the attack because they saw it forming.”

When asked what happens now that the US has agreed not to attack, Trump told reporters, “Now what we’re doing is we’re talking to them in the form of a negotiation.”

“It begins tomorrow afternoon, and we’ll see if it’s true. I’d love to do that, save a lot of lives, save a lot of of unnecessary power to be honest with you, take many many years to ever build it back,” he continued.

“I don’t think it would be even buildable back.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump announced late on Saturday that he called off strikes against Iran after he was “asked by Iran, and other Middle Eastern Countries, to hold off any attack in that the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to.”

“This would include the Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT, and an end to Iran’s nuclear threat. Based on this request, I have agreed, for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL,” Trump said.

The announcement came after Trump reportedly ordered strikes targeting Iranian energy sites in the largest bombing campaign to date in the war. The US had resumed strikes on Iran last week after Iran targeted US forces in the Middle East with missiles that were intercepted by the US. The recent attacks followed nearly two weeks of nightly attacks earlier this month, which Trump had called off last week to continue negotiations.
