The average American eats nine pounds of avocado every year, according to the Wall Street Journal. One special day of the year might have something to do with that: National Avocado Day.

California-based Chipotle Mexican Grill is one of the biggest names in Mexican chains. Its guac is pretty famous, too.
For two days, July 31 and August 1, Chipotle guests can receive free chips and guac with the purchase of an entree. There’s one catch: You have to order online using the code AVO2026 at checkout.
Qdoba Mexican Eats
Guacamole is always free on Qdoba’s create-your-own entrées. But for National Avocado Day, the fast-casual chain is making the entrées themselves free. Rewards members who purchase an entrée and drink on July 31 or August 1 can get a free entrée to go with.
Del Taco
Del Taco is celebrating National Avocado day all weekend long. From July 31 to August 2, customers who purchase an Epic Fresh Guac Burrito will get a second one for free.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop
Irving, Texas-based Mexican chain Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is teaming up with Avocados From Mexico to give customers free chips and guacamole with the code AVODAY in-app.
Enjoy the free scoop alongside an item from Fuzzy’s new Beach Club menu available through August 30.
Barberitos
This Friday, the southwestern-inspired food chain Barberitos is adding free guacamole to any in-store entrée purchase.
Even better, the restaurant is giving one lucky customer free guacamole for a year. To enter, all you have to do is follow @barberitos on Instagram.
Unexpected Deals
Tex-Mex isn’t the only cuisine where free avocado is a plus.
Pokeworks, a national poke bowl and burrito chain, is offering a free scoop of avocado with any entree today through August 2. Use the code AVOSUMMER to unlock the deal, both online and in-store.
The western burger chain Farmer Boys is giving rewards members $3 off on their signature avocado-topped Farmer’s Burger between July 31 and August 1.
