    Actor William Shatner has spoken out to “correct” reports that he experienced a medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital.

    On Thursday, TMZ reported Shatner was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after suffering a medical emergency.

    In the report TMZ shared emergency medical crews arrived at his home on Wednesday and the Star Trek star was trsnported to a local hospital by a LAFD ambulance.

    The reported noted, Shatner’s agent, Harry Gold, confirmed the actor had a medical episode after having issue with his blood sugar.

    Shatner in a post on Instragm has addressed the reports and wrote, “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.”

    He added, “I over indulged. I thank you all for caring but I’m perfectly fine.”

    William Shatner is reassuring fans that he is in good health after reports spread that the actor was hospitalized.

    The “Star Trek” star addressed the topic in a tongue-and-cheek Instagram post Thursday that featured a picture of him with the caption, “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.”

    The post’s description also read, “I over indulged. I thank you all for caring but I’m perfectly fine. I keep telling you all: don’t trust tabloids or AI!”

    Rumors about Shatner’s health scare circulated on social media Thursday after TMZ reported that the “T.J. Hooker” star was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after suffering a medical emergency. The outlet reported Shatner’s agent, Harry Gold, said the actor had an issue with his blood sugar while at his Los Angeles home late Wednesday afternoon.

    In an interview in 2024, Shatner revealed a doctor told him him he had only five months to live after being diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma but against all odds he was able to beat the cancer..

    William Shatner is currently 94 years old.
