Christian author Frank Turek who was with Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University last Wednesday when he was assassinated gave an eyewitness account of what happened after Charlie was shot and carried to the vehicle.
TPUSA founder and conservative activist Charlie Kirk was brutally murdered at an event at Utah Valley University last Wednesday. The bullet severed Charlie Kirk’s carotid artery. He bled out as his security team rushed him to a vehicle.
Turek was in the SUV with Charlie Kirk and the security team as they raced to the hospital. He said Charlie was already in heaven with Jesus.
Frank Turek said he considered Charlie Kirk his fourth son because they were so close.
“Here’s what Erika wants me to relay on Sunday… this is going to be the hard part, but maybe also the comforting part,” Turek said.
“I’m yelling, ‘Charlie! Charlie!’” Frank Turek said as he described Charlie Kirk laying down in the back of the SUV.
“Charlie wasn’t there. His eyes were fixed. He wasn’t looking at me. He was looking past me right into eternity. He was with Jesus already. He was killed instantly and felt absolutely no pain. That’s what I was told later, but of course we had to try,” Frank Turek said fighting through tears.
“If that’s any comfort at all, Charlie didn’t suffer,” he said. “He was with Jesus.”
Frank Turek said doctors got a pulse back after working on Charlie but ultimately they couldn’t save him.
“20 or 30 minutes later the surgeon came out and said he was dead,” Frank Turek said.
