Dr. Anthony Fauci is not happy as accountability appears to be coming for his numerous deadly lies during the height of the COVID pandemic, and his attorney is now gaslighting America in the process.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, Senator Rand Paul’s (R-KY) contempt resolution against Fauci passed today in the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by Paul.
Democrats on the Committee attempted to table the resolution ahead of today’s vote, but the Republican majority blocked their efforts.
The resolution ultimately passed along party lines by a vote of 8-5. It will now be referred to the DOJ.

Fauci’s attorney, David Schertler, lashed out at the Senate for voting to hold his client in contempt.
Just have a look at how delusional these comments are.
Today’s partisan committee vote is a crude political stunt intended to punish Dr. Fauci for exercising his constitutional rights. The Senate should reject Senator Paul’s meritless and politically-motivated contempt resolution.
For years, Senator Paul has proclaimed to anyone who would listen that Dr. Fauci should be prosecuted and put in prison. Dr. Fauci has committed no crime – and Senator Paul knows it.
Today’s resolution is a continuation of Senator Paul’s personal vendetta against Dr. Fauci, who spent 50 years in public health and has saved countless lives. It is shameful and wrong that Senator Paul is abusing his power by trying to weaponize the Justice Department against an honorable public servant.
It’s important to note that Vice President JD Vance will now have to sign off on the committee’s decision to bypass a full Senate vote and send a referral to the DOJ.
Given the uproar over Fauci’s performance and President Trump’s scathing comments regarding the wicked doctor, one can safely bet Vance will follow through.
Conradson previously reported that news broke on Wednesday that the Senate committee obtained a copy of Fauci’s pandemic-era iPhone, giving them access to even more evidence of Fauci’s many lies and potentially answers to questions he refused to answer before the committee.
