    Screencap of YouTube video.

Because the Gateway Pundit reported yesterday, Kroger is closing a number of supermarkets in Washington state as a result of crime, largely shoplifting.

It’s a well-known indisputable fact that grocery shops function on an especially slim revenue margin, so even a small quantity of theft can have a devastating impact on an organization’s backside line.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington clearly doesn’t perceive this, or is just making an attempt to spin the difficulty for the good thing about her followers on the left, as a result of as a substitute of recognizing that her social gathering’s lax strategy to crime is accountable, she is blaming company greed.

That is proper out of the Bernie Sanders playbook. See under:

ICYMI: Kroger is closing a handful of Fred Meyer Shops within the Seattle-area.

That is one more instance of firms placing their shareholders and income forward of their staff and prospects.https://t.co/lieUJ8mXU4 pic.twitter.com/LeMqJIMTxh

Maybe if the liberal leaders in Washington prosecuted thieves, these closures wouldn’t be taking place. Additionally, Jayapal doesn’t appear to know that Kroger has an obligation to its shareholders.

Folks responded to her on Twitter/X:

Democrats deal with theft like a joke and Seattle has a minimal wage of over $20 per hour. Now, you are performing like they’re wronging you by closing up shops your insurance policies made unprofitable? Why do not you liberals ever blame yourselves for the implications of your insurance policies?

    — John Hawkins (@johnhawkinsrwn) August 21, 2025

Perhaps if these cities would arrest and convict shoplifters, they wouldn’t shut. Crime is dangerous for enterprise

    — Bleu Cheque (@VERBAL_CHANCLA) August 21, 2025

It is by no means the issues attributable to Democrats who’re ruining the town although, is it? You’re so fully out-of-touch with REALITY. Why do you hate Individuals a lot?

    — Kimberly Morin (@Conservativeind) August 20, 2025

Placing their shareholders first is named “doing their fiduciary responsibility” and they’re legally obligated to do it.

In case you don’t need shops to shut, cease creating an surroundings wherein companies can’t thrive. https://t.co/3CAdqbshcT

Crime ruins communities. What’s it in regards to the left that they can not perceive this fundamental idea?
