Images shared by the Israeli government show the first hostages freed from Hamas captivity — Alon Ohel, Eitan Mor, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Ziv and Gali Berman, Omri Miran, and Matan Angrest.

Hamas terrorists have finally begun releasing the first group of Israeli hostages into Red Cross custody as part of a ceasefire agreement brokered by President Donald Trump.

On Monday, Hamas handed over seven Israeli hostages to the Red Cross in Gaza, the first to be released under a U.S.-brokered ceasefire and prisoner-swap agreement.

“According to information provided by the Red Cross, seven hostages have been transferred into their custody, and are on their way to IDF and ISA forces in Gaza,” the IDF announced on X.

“The IDF is prepared to receive additional hostages who are expected to be transferred to the Red Cross later on.”

Israel, for its part, has confirmed that in exchange it will free nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, many convicted terrorists.

The names of 20 living hostages have also been published by Hamas as part of the first phase of the deal, according to Reuters.

The Israeli government confirmed the return of Alon Ohel, Eitan Mor, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Ziv and Gali Berman, Omri Miran, and Matan Angrest, all kidnapped by Hamas during the October attacks.

“The returning hostages, Eitan Mor, Alon Ohel, Ziv Berman, Gali Berman, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Omri Miran and Matan Angrest, accompanied by IDF and ISA forces, crossed the border into the State of Israel a short while ago. They are currently on their way to the initial reception point in southern Israel, where they will reunite with their families,” IDF announced.
