Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez filmed herself injecting hormones into her abdomen and discussing freezing her eggs for her vlog on Instagram.
Ocasio-Cortez also said she planned to give herself additional shots in the green room before appearing on ABC’s “This Week” and called the whole effort “badass.”
The 36-year-old New York Democratic Socialist told followers, “Normally, I keep my private life quite private. But I have made the decision to freeze my eggs.”
“This is a choice that I am making to feel more in control of my life,” AOC said. “And if people want to make assumptions about my decision, let them make those assumptions. I feel empowered to make this choice.”
Ocasio-Cortez also alluded to the wide speculation that she intends to run for president in 2028.
“The media will run up and ask a question like, ‘Are you going to run for this? Or are you going to run for that?’ And it is almost through this very two-dimensional, craven understanding or ambitious understanding of power,” she complained.
The far-leftist seemed to complain that people wondering whether she intended to have children could hurt her political aspirations.
“Men run for office, or frankly, they interview for jobs, and people don’t think in the back of their mind, ‘Okay, this guy is running for office. How old is he? Oh, well, is he going to want to start a family?’” she said.
Ocasio-Cortez praised herself for announcing plans to inject the hormones in the green room before her upcoming interview.
“I want you all to see that. And because women can do anything, and I think it’s badass that I’m going to be giving myself shots in the green room [as I] get my glam on,” AOC said.
