Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is getting dragged after spreading an easily-provable falsehood about the House of Representatives’ recently passed defense bill.
On Wednesday, the House passed its version of the FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in a 219-206 vote.
The bill allocates more than $1.1 trillion in funding for the U.S. military. It now heads to the Senate, where the path forward is murky.
The legislation also left Section 219 intact, a provision that calls for closer U.S.-Israel defense integration on a variety of critical issues.
The day before the vote, AOC asserted that Section 219 would combine the U.S. and Israel military, creating “an existential threat to American sovereignty and democracy.”

But unsurprisingly, AOC is spreading a massive lie to pander to her Jew-hating supporters. The bill directs the Pentagon to cooperate with Israel on a variety of defense issues, but it does not merge the two militaries or place the US under the IDF’s command.
