Video footage of U.S. Central Command forces launching precision strikes against Iranian military targets, released July 29, 2026. (U.S. Central Command video)

UPDATE: US Central Command released footage from tonight’s retaliatory strikes against Iran, which lasted about two hours. The attacks “further diminish threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries,” CENTCOM announced.

CENTCOM said in a press release,

At 10 p.m. ET on July 29, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully completed a heavy wave of strikes against Iran in response to yesterday’s attempted missile attacks on U.S. forces.

CENTCOM assets struck dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, and maritime capabilities. The strikes aimed to further diminish threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries.

On July 28, IRGC forces launched multiple ballistic missiles from Iran in an attempted surprise attack on U.S. forces based in the Middle East. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted.

More than 50,000 U.S. service members are currently deployed to the Middle East and remain highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready.

US forces launched a second consecutive night of strikes against Iran this evening in response to Iran targeting US troops in the Middle East on Tuesday.

“U.S. forces began launching strikes against Iran at 8 p.m. ET today. The strikes are a powerful response to yesterday’s attempted Iranian attacks on U.S. forces based in the Middle East,” US Central Command announced in a statement.

This comes after President Trump told Fox’s Trey Yingst earlier, “We’re going to beat the f*cking sh*t out of them.”

Trump added, “We’ll be hitting them hard. They’re going to get a beating.”

    WATCH:

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Tuesday, Iran launched a “surprise” missile attack against a US base.

Just days earlier, President Trump called off the nearly two-week-long bombing campaign against Iran to continue negotiations on Friday.

Trump had said on Monday, “We are in very deep talks with Iran. If they don’t work out, we will go back to very strong military action.”

US forces responded last night to the attempted missile strikes by Iran, which US Central Command said were “successfully intercepted.”

The US military carried out a joint strike with Saudi Arabian Armed Forces against “Iran-aligned terrorists,” CENTCOM announced.

“U.S. and Saudi fighter aircraft struck multiple terrorist logistics and weapons sites across eastern Iraq in a strong response to over 30 IRGC-directed aerial drone attacks in the last 72 hours,” CENTCOM said in a press release.
