President Trump had an opportunity to comment on the universally mocked Obama Presidential Center, which is under construction, and his response was must-see TV.

As TGP readers know, Obama’s presidential library has been universally mocked during construction as austere and “prison-like.”

Just last week, Senator Ted Cruz upped the mockery and took to social media on Tuesday to poke fun at the building with a Star Wars reference.

Cruz shared on X, “Locating the Death Star in Chicago was a bold move.”

The buildingt, designed by Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, features an exterior wrapped in granite panels and is one of “numerous buildings on the massive 19-acre Obama Presidential Center campus, which has been priced at about $830 million by the Associated Press.”

During a Diwali celebration inside the White House on Tuesday, The Daily Caller’s Reagan Reese asked Trump to weigh in with his thoughts on the hideous library.

Trump had plenty to say, and Obama will not like one bit of it. Trump noted that the “not too pretty” library is hundreds of millions over budget, and Obama wanted DEI workers to lead the way.

Trump went on to say to roast Obama himself, noting none of this should come as a surprise because that’s precisely how Obama ran America. And he’s right.

REESE: They’re also building the Obama Presidential Library.

    TRUMP: He needs help.

REESE: Have you seen pictures of the architecture?

TRUMP: Yeah, it’s not too pretty. They ran out of money.

He’s building a library/museum, and he’s stuck. He wanted only women and DEI to build it.

Well, that’s what he got…I built a great building in Chicago, and we got it built very quickly.

They’re hundreds of millions of dollars over budget… that’s the way our country was run under President Obama, too.
