House Speaker Mike Johnson put notorious ABC ‘reporter’ Jon Karl on the defensive with a basic reminder after the host attempted to play gotcha on one of last week’s major stories.

On ABC’s “This Week,” Karl interrogated the Speaker on various matters, including yesterday’s “No Kings” rallies and President Trump’s pardon of George Santos on Friday.

When the topic turned to the latter, Johnson calmly flipped the tables on the liberal hack.

Karl attempted to play gotcha with the Speaker by bringing up not only the pardon, but also inferring that President Trump was corrupt for having the audacity to pardon other Republicans persecuted under Democratic regimes.

The ABC propagandist not only ignored Joe Biden’s corrupt actions pardoning his family members, but also the fact that Trump had also pardoned several Democrats, including former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.

Johnson happily reminded Karl of the former, leaving the host completely triggered and hyperventilating.

    WATCH:

Jonathan Karl: “[There have now been] 10 former Republican members of Congress whom the president has either pardoned or issued clemency for.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson: “You want to talk about what Joe Biden did with that power? He pardoned his own family. The only thing he… pic.twitter.com/WJchnmSOk9

KARL: What do you make of the pardon of George Santos?

JOHNSON: The President has the right under the Constitution…We believe in redemption, that’s a personal belief of mine. I hope Mr. Santos makes the most of his second chance.

KARL: But how about the fact that the president issued the pardon…There have now been 10 former Republican members of Congress whom the president has either pardoned or issued clemency for. 10!

JOHNSON: You want to talk about what Joe Biden did with that power? He pardoned his own family.

The only thing he signed, by the way, with his own pen; everything else is autopen. But categories of hardened criminals, they (Biden’s handlers) just released from prison.

At least President Trump is fully transparent.

Exactly. Where was Karl’s outrage back then?

While Johnson has divided conservatives since taking over as Speaker, he deserves some credit for his skill in pushing back against leftist interrogators like Karl, and when he delivers on the Trump agenda.
