While Democrats bemoan and attempt to block President Trump’s efforts to make crime-riddled cities safer for Americans, one young boy shared a powerful testimony of what it really means to have our streets safe.

The Gateway Pundit reported that President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum on Monday to establish a “Memphis Safe Task Force” to stop crime in Memphis, Tennessee, “just like we did in DC,” he said.

“The effort will include the National Guard, as well as the FBI, ATF, DEA, ICE, Homeland Security Investigations, and the US Marshals, and more along the prosecutors. We’re going to have DOJ, led by the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Tennessee,” Trump said before signing his memorandum.

“We did send FBI in about four months ago to work, and it brought some of the numbers down, and they did a great job,” Trump revealed. “But we’re sending in the big force now.”

He further described the task force as a “replica” of his successful crime crackdown in Washington, DC.

Success in cleaning up Memphis is already showing success.

Attorney General Pam Bondi shared some of the early successes noting, “Our operation in Memphis is now underway, and we’re just getting started.”

“Yesterday, 9 arrests were made and 2 illegal firearms were taken off the streets.”

“Additionally, 219 officers were special deputized and our Joint Operations Center is up and running. Thank you to our great

Bondi added, “In just 48 hours, our Memphis Safe Task Force has made 53 arrests and seized 20 illegal firearms.”

“Yesterday, a missing juvenile was located and three firearms were recovered at the home of a murder suspect.”

“At @POTUS direction, we are making America safe again!”

In a video shared on social media, the young boy shared, “My name is Braylin [sic], and I live here in Memphis.”

“I’ve been noticing not just a slight change, more of a (unclear) change in how peaceful Memphis is ever since the National Guard came.”

“There was a lot of things I couldn’t do before the National Guard came because I had to worry a lot about guns and stuff.”

“I couldn’t play because I was worried that somebody might pull out a gun or something.”

“But now I could do that, and I  just wanted to thank the President of the United States for bringing the National Guard.”
