    Screencap of Twitter/X video.

Democrats are worried about the governor race in Virginia. How do we know this? They have dragged Obama into the race to endorse Abigail Spanberger.

This won’t mean much to conservatives, but to Democrats, Obama is the best they’ve got. This is them brining out the big guns.

Of course, it didn’t work when Obama endorsed Kamala Harris in 2024. It didn’t work when Obama endorsed Terry McAuliffe in Virginia in 2021, either.

The closer we get to this election, the closer the polls are. It’s now a statistical tie, according to one poll. Democrats are doing everything they can to drag Spanberger over the finish line.

    NBC News in Washington reports:

Obama endorses Abigail Spanberger in Virginia’s race for governor

Former President Barack Obama is endorsing Democratic former Rep. Abigail Spanberger in the Virginia governor’s race and starring in two new digital ads for her campaign.

“Virginia’s elections are some of the most important in the country this year,” Obama says in both ads, shared first with NBC News, which focus on the economy and abortion rights. He also says in both ads, “Every vote counts.”

Virginia is one of two states, along with New Jersey, holding governor’s races this year. One year after the 2024 election, both races will be closely watched as indicators of how voters are responding to President Donald Trump and where the political winds are blowing ahead of the 2026 midterms elections.

Trump has not yet stepped into the race with his own endorsement. Spanberger is running against Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears.

    Here’s the video:

Everyone can see what’s happening here.

Oh my, it must be way too close for Democrats’ comfort. https://t.co/fyLQ3OF3Yo

Internal polls must look really bad.

100% on brand for the democrat party.

Wait, what? He’s not endorsing the Black woman?

    — XRPspider (@XRPspider) October 16, 2025

If elected, Winsome Sears would be the first black woman governor of Virginia. You would think that would be important to Barack Obama but Sears is a Republican, so she doesn’t count, apparently.

Remember this the next time Democrats claim to care about such things.
