ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith blasted the Democratic Party’s constant use of “threat to democracy” talking points, telling them to “shut the hell up.”

During a segment on his show, Smith ripped into Democrat Party leaders for bypassing the primary process and handpicking Kamala Harris as the 2024 nominee after Joe Biden’s political collapse.

“See, when I talked about voting for Kamala Harris, I wasn’t excited about her. As far as I’m concerned, she didn’t earn it because she didn’t go through a primary. The Democrats talking about a “threat to democracy”—shut the hell up.

“I don’t want to hear that, because you didn’t care about that when you circumvented the democratic process to make sure that the vice president—the former vice president—would be able to bypass the Democratic primary and go straight to the Democratic nominee for the presidency of the United States.”

Smith accused party elites of hypocrisy, saying they had the power to remove Biden earlier but refused to because “it was her turn.”

Smith then turned his attention to conservatives, praising them for standing behind President Trump, not because it was “his turn,” but because voters decided he represented them best.

“You could have gotten Joe Biden out earlier, but you didn’t do it because you wanted her there—because it was her turn. In 2016, when Hillary had competition—Hillary Rodham Clinton—oh, it was her turn. When Biden was getting smoked in the primaries before Representative Clyburn came and saved the day, it was his turn.

“That’s my problem with the Democrats. That’s my problem with them. It’s always somebody’s turn. The one thing I will give respect and appreciation to conservatives everywhere—it came to Trump.
