President Trump today will participate in a “Roundtable on ANTIFA” as violent leftwing rioters lay seige on federal agents across the country.

The Trump Administration is currently attempting to carry out ICE law enforcement operations, but is facing pushback from local leaders and violent leftwing anarchists in Chicago and Portland.

Antifa is rioting outside of ICE facilities and terrorizing Portland. In Chicago, federal officers from CBP and ICE were recently ambushed by a convoy of roughly ten vehicles in what officials described as a “coordinated assault” by domestic extremists rioting against law enforcement. Chicago police, however, were explicitly ordered to stand down and ignore the distress calls from federal agents.

Rioters, backed by leftwing causes, are attacking federal law enforcement and law-abiding citizens, and destroying the cities.

It is currently unclear what will come out of the meeting, but President Trump on Tuesday suggested to reporters that he is open to invoking the Insurrection Act to take control of Chicago.

“It’s been invoked before, as you know,” he said. “If you look at Chicago, Chicago’s a great city where there’s a lot of crime, and if the governor can’t do the job, we’ll do the job,” Trump added, pointing to his record on using federal agents and National Guard troops to combat crime in DC.

President Trump has also repeatedly called for George Soros and his son, Alex, prominent figures in the Democratic Party, to “be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all throughout the United States of America.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed to The Gateway Pundit on Monday that the Trump Administration is investigating the Soros and far-left terror-sponsoring organizations that are funding the violent riots.

According to Fox, President Trump will participate in the round table with members of his cabinet and independent journalists who have been on the ground in Portland and faced violence from Antifa rioters.

“Cabinet members and administration officials who are scheduled to deliver remarks during the roundtable include Attorney General Pam Bondi, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, FBI Director Kash Patel, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, White House deputy chief of staff for policy and Homeland Security advisor Stephen Miller, and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt,” Fox reports.

“Independent journalists who are slated to join the discussion, Fox News Digital learned, include Nick Sortor, Cam Higby, Jonathan Choe, Andy Ngo, Katie Daviscourt, James Klug, Savanah Hernandez, Nick Shirley, Brandi Kruse and Julio Rojas.”

White House spokeswoman Abigail Johnson told Fox, “The White House applauds these independent journalists; we look forward to hearing from those who have seen the facts for themselves and are sharing the truth about the violence, crime, and local Democrat leaders’ failure to address the problem.”

The event is scheduled to begin at 3 pm ET.
